Tommy focuses his practice on probate and estate administration and guardianships, as well as estate planning and asset protection, including wills, trusts and marital agreements. Tommy also has experience with corporate and business formation and real estate transactions for family businesses and other entities. Tommy’s attention to detail and dedication to serving his clients enable him to guide clients through all aspects of their estate planning and legal and practical business issues. He is a compassionate and dependable advisor when a client’s family member dies or becomes incapacitated. He is also certified as an attorney ad litem and a guardian ad litem and receives court appointments to serve in those roles.
Tommy grew up in Houston and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He returned to Houston to attend law school and graduated from The University of Houston Law Center in 2004. Tommy joined Schlanger Silver in 2025 after practicing for 15 years at a larger firm.

A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Tammy Simien Moon practices Family, Probate and Child Welfare Law. Having founded and managed The Simien Moon Law Firm P.C. and in practice for over 27 years, she focuses on all areas of the family, including custody and property issues associated with divorce, drafting and probating estate planning documents, probating heirship and administrations and custody issues in child welfare law cases. Tammy is board certified in the areas of Family Law and Child Welfare Law. She is a respected mediator for Family Law cases. Tammy is a founding member of The Houston Family Law Group, which is a family law mentoring group for African American Female Attorneys in the Houston and surrounding counties. Additionally, Tammy is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Tammy has held a number of top-ranking positions in the field of family law, as she has chaired the Family Law Section of the Houston Bar Association, the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists, and the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Inn of Court. Tammy serves as a member of the Family Law Examination Committee for the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is also a member of the board of directors for the Family Law Section of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a member of the Texas Bar Foundation. Additionally, Tammy serves on the Council for the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section. While practicing law is her passion, she has also served as an adjunct professor for Domestic Relations at Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law where she attended law school and served as Articles Editor on Law Review. Tammy lectures frequently at continuing legal seminars sponsored by the State Bar of Texas. She is happily married to Leonard Moon and the proud mother of seven.

Alyssa grew up in Houston and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She returned to Houston to attend law school and graduated from South Texas College of Law, with honors, in 2014. Alyssa formerly practiced with James E. Brill, a highly respected estate planning and probate lawyer with over 60 years in practice, where she learned how rewarding it was to help guide clients through the estate planning and probate process. After the retirement of Mr. Brill, Alyssa joined a larger firm where she continued practicing in the same area.
Alyssa is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (2020) and was honored as a 2022 Rising Star by Thomson Reuters-Super Lawyers. Alyssa is also a contributor to The Texas Probate System, a manual published by The State Bar of Texas which gives other attorneys a guide for practicing probate in Texas.

Bridget’s interest in the practice of law began with summer jobs working for her father, a family law attorney, where she assisted in helping clients through what can be one of the most difficult times in their lives. Today, with more than 27 years of experience in probate and trust litigation, Bridget serves not only as a strong advocate for her clients, but also as a counselor and trusted advisor.
Bridget started her legal career at a major downtown law firm. Her move to Schlanger Silver has allowed her to continue her practice in a collaborative setting supported by the firm’s other practice areas, including tax and family law. Bridget handles a range of matters, including breach of fiduciary duty claims, representing executors, trustees and guardians in their fiduciary roles, contested guardianships, will contests, lawsuits involving trust disputes, trust modifications, estate planning and trust and estate administration and other complex matters related to probate. In blended family situations with step-parents or children from a previous marriage, Bridget helps her clients navigate through the myriad of issues that arise when a family member dies or becomes incapacitated.
Bridget is certified as an attorney ad litem and a guardian ad litem and has served in such roles frequently throughout her career.

Sara grew up in Houston and attended the University of Texas at Austin. Sara returned to Houston to attend law school and graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 2007. She first became interested in probate and estate planning at her first law firm, where she learned that she could provide a genuine benefit to clients by guiding them through an often-intimidating probate process. After the passing of the firm’s founding partner, Sara joined a mid-sized firm downtown where she expanded her practice to include commercial litigation and business disputes. She also continued to assist clients with probate matters, including guardianships, will contests and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
Sara joined Schlanger Silver in 2016, where she focuses on probate and trust litigation. She is a determined advocate for her clients and also a source of compassionate counsel, working to find practical solutions wherever possible.
